The historic rematch between No. 12 ranked bantamweight Pannie Kianzad and No. 11 ranked Lina Lansberg turned out to be just as exciting as promised.
After three tough rounds Kianzad stood as the winner by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).
“I feel good,” Kianzad told the reporters at the post-fight press conference. “I mean, our first fight, ten years ago almost, was really good and kind of hard to top but when the blood came out I felt like ‘Ok, this is going to be a good fight’.”
The Swedish bantamweight has now won five of her last six bouts in the UFC.

Hard fought fight for Pannie Kianzad
The Swedes were tied up in the clinch for a majority of the first round of the fight. With a little more than a minute left, “Banzai” was able to get Lansberg down on the mat but could not really capitalize on the takedown.
Early in the second round Kianzad gave her opponent a deep cut which caused alot of bleeding. But in the last minute of the round, Lansberg really lived up to her name “Elbow Queen”, when she landed a flush left elbow that dropped “Banzai” and gave her a cut over the nose.
In the third round Kianzad looked sharp and used her slick boxing and great footwork to land clean shots on Lansberg.
Just hours after the win “Banzai” already has a new opponent in mind.
“I’m thinking late summer,” Kianzad told the reporters. ” I think a fight with Aspen Ladd makes sense.”
