Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson is known to be the nicest guy in MMA and a rolemodel inside and outside the cage.
However, in a recent interview, “Wonderboy”revealed that he actually spent a weekend in jail – for swimming naked.
“I spent a weekend, one time, and it was the worst” Thompson confessed with a laugh. “Skinny dipping, man. They had cameras and we had no idea. There were girls involved, they had cameras up because someone vandalized the pool the week before. So they were trying to get us. I was like ‘I’m never going back!'”.
On Saturday, Stephen Thompson steps into the octagon to face Kevin “Trailblazer” Holland in the main event at UFC Orlando. This will be the 39-year-old veteran’s first fight in one year since losing to Belal Muhammad back in December 2021.
“Wonderboy” had a few bumpy years in the promotion, with two wins in his last six fights. However, he has faced the very elite of the stacked welterweight division in Gilbert Burns, Vicente Luque, Darren Till and Anthony Pettis.
Kevin Holland is coming from a tough first-round submission loss against Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 279 in September. Before that he pulled off back-to-back wins against Tim “Dirty Bird” Means and Alex “Cowboy” Oliveira.
