Undefeated flyweight contender Muhammad Mokaev just clashed with Tim Elliott in a flyweight bout at UFC 294.
After an even and somewhat uneventful first round, things sparked up in the second round. Elliott threatened with a submission but Mokaev turned things around as he slammed his opponent head first. According to the commentators, Elliot told his corner that he was briefly knocked out by the slam.
In the third round, Mokaev finally found a submission that forced his American opponent to tap.
In the post-fight interview, Mokaev called out the elite of the stacked flyweight division, after the most important win of his career so far.
“Yes I needed a finish, he’s an ex title contender. Now I’m 5-0 in the UFC, with four finishes. Give me Kai-Kara France,” Mokaev said. “Anyone, Kai-Kara France, Amir Albazi, Manel Kape.
Muhammad Mokaev is undefeated as both professional and amateur MMA fighter. He made his UFC debut in March 2022 and has four straight wins.
