Tony Ferguson loses sixth straight fight – finished by Bobby Green

Lightweights Tony ”El Cucuy” Ferguson and Bobby Green just clashed at the main card of UFC 291 in Salt Lake City.

Ferguson began strongly, dropping his opponent with a right hand. Green would then accidentally poke Ferguson in the eye on his way back up, halting the action. In the second round Green was doing well on the feet, and got top position after a failed takedown attempt from ”El Cucuy” – who ended up on the receiving end of much punishmen on the ground.

Green continued to land on the feet in the final round. When Ferguson once again failed to get his opponent to the canvas, he was in stead caught in an arm triangle. forced to tap out.

Ferguson now has six straight losses, not having won since the summer of 2019.

Bobby Green is 1-2-1 in his last three fights and came from a no-contest against Jared Gordon in April heading into this.
