In the UFC 273 main event featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski defeated Korean Zombie via TKO in the fourth round, after a dominant performance. This was the Volkanovskis third title defence and he looked better than ever.
The co-main event between bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling and interim champion Petr Yan was a more competetive fight and went all five rounds. Sterling dominated the second and third round while Yan had more success in the two last rounds. In the end Sterling stood as the winner via split decision (48-47, 47-48, 48-47).
The highly anticipated welterweight fight between Khamzat Chimaev and Gilbert Burns lived up to its expectations and more. After three tough rounds “Borz” stood as the winner via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).
”Fucking tough guy brother, I didn’t know he was so tough. Thank you for this fight Gilbert, I love you brother, all respect,” Chimaev said to Joe Rogan directly after the fight.
