“The guy [Jorge Masvidal] is a freaking superstar here. I respect the hell out of this guy.”

Burns claimed there are two rematches he is interested in.

“Kamaru [Usman] or [Khamzat] Chimaev, that’s the two rematches that I’m dying for. Shit, for these I would say that. Other than that, give me a title shot or I’m out.”

Dana White: ” I think Pereira moves to 205″

UFC president Dana White is impressed with Israel Adesanya.

“Israel Adesanya will fight anybody anywhere in time. He likes to fight three times in a year even if he has the belt,” White said.

“Honestly, I think [Alex] Pereira moves to 205 after this. He’s a monster. It would not surprise me.”

Dana White on Gilbert Burns’ demands on being a backup for the next welterweight title bout.

“I love that. Why not? You got a deal.”

About Jorge Masvidal retiring.

“As soon as you think about retiring, you should be in this business. He’s made a lot of money, he made a lot of money tonight. I think he’s proved everything he needed to prove for himself and he changed his family’s life.”

About Donald Trump as a fight fan.

“This guy calls me twice a month and will talk to me for an hour about fighting. Things that have happened since the last time that we talked. And he knows everybody, what they did and who they fought last. He’s a huge fight fan.”

Israel Adesanya: “I was hunting him down”

The newly crowned welterweight champion Israel Adesanya faced the press after UFC 287.

“Everytime I fight this guy [AlexPereira] I always have him in the first rounds,” Adesanya said.

On the Muhammad Ali like rope-a-dope moment.

“After the rope-a-dope moment, I saw him lying flat on the ground, frozen like Elsa.”
