UFC 288 just took place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
In the main event, Aljamain Sterling clashed with former two-division champion Henry Cejudo, who returned after three years.
The bantamweights delivered a high pace fight right from the start. Sterling used his size and reach advantage well during the fight, as he came out with all guys blazing, landing heavy kicks from the start.
Cejudo fought a great fight, challenging the champion both on the feet and the ground, but in the end Sterling stood as the winner via split decision with 48-47, 47-48 and 48-47 on the cards
”Henry is a fucking dog and a legend,” Sterling said afterwards and called out ”Sugar” Sean O’Malley who entered the octagon to square off with the champion.
”You better look better than that,” O’Malley said.
