On Saturday November 11, UFC returns with a great card at the classic Madison Square Garden in New York City. Even though UFC 295 lost its massive heavyweight title bout between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic, it’s still going to be a great night for the NYC crowd and fans all around the world.
The fight card is headlined by a light heavyweight matchup between former champion Jiri Prochazka and former middleweight champ Alex Pereira, with the vacant 205 lbs title on the line.
Prochazka vacated his strap after a bad shoulder injury ahead of UFC 282 in December last year.
Pereira won his light heavyweight debut against former champion Jan Blachowicz a few months back. The fight will mark the Brazilian’s third title bout in his short and successful UFC career.
Interim heavyweight title bout
In the highly interesting co-main event, top ranked contenders SP and Tom Aspinall will clash for the interim heavyweight title. Both Pavlivich and Aspinall have looked great over the past few years, delivering solid performances over and over against the best fighters in the division.
The prelims features Danish former Olympic wrestler Mark Madsen who will take on Jared Gordon. The Danish lightweight holds a 12-1 record and comes from his career-first loss against Grant Dawson in November 2022.
