On Saturday July 1, UFC on ESPN 48 will take place at the Apex in Las Vegas. A middleweight bout between Sean Strickland and Abusupiyan Magomedov will headline the event.

Former PFL contender Magomedov will try to make his way into the middleweight rankings as he takes on No. 7 ranked veteran Strickland who comes from a win against Nassourdine Imavov in January.

Guram Kutateladze returns to action

Swedish-Georgian lightweight Guram Kutateladze will return to action in Las Vegas as he takes on Brazil’s Elves Brenner. “The Georgian Viking” took the fight on short notice as he was first scheduled to fight on June 3.

UFC on ESPN 48 also features the promotional debut of Norway’s Ivana Sirc Petrovic.

The Norwegian is undefeated with a pro record of 6-o and signed with the UFC after defending her ARES FC flyweight strap in April.
