Mågård vs Lima

Danish Oktagon bantamweight champion Jonas “Shark” Mågård (15-5) will now defend his title against Swedish-Brazilian Felipe “D’Ouro” Lima (11-1)! Originally Mågård was set to defend his belt against Croatian former KSW champ Antun Racic, but was forced out of the bout due to injury. The clash between Denmark and Sweden is now set for Oktagon 45 in the Czech capital of PRague on July 28th.

Mågård has been one of the hottest talents in Denmark for several years, and captured the Oktagon title following a decision win over Filip Macek in November of 2021. Since then he has gone on to defend the belt in a title unification with former UFC fighter and then interim champ; Gustavo Lopez.

Lima has been seen as one of the best bantamweights in Sweden since his arrival on the Scandinavian MMA scene during the summer of 2020. Going undefeated since a loss in his pro debut in 2015 Lima has racked up wins over Fernando Flores and most recently a first round knockout over Evgeny Odnorog. That last win secured the Fight Club Rush bantamweight title, though it was later stripped due to inactivity.
