The historic first-ever French UFC event just went down at AccorHotels Arena in Paris. In the massive heavyweight main event we saw No. 1 ranked former interim champion Cyril Gane clash with No. 3 ranked Tai Tuivasa in an instant classic.

In the first round, both fighters landed good, but it was in the second round that the fight really took off. Gane started round two with good solid jabs, but Tuivasa landed a heavy right hand that almost knocked the hometown fighter out. However, Gane returned with heavy body kicks that completely changed the fight.

In the third round, Gane took over more and more, and with less than a minute left, he knocked out Tuivasa with a flurry of punches.

“Merci, merci, merci, merci,” Gane said to the massive and loud Paris crowd after his masterclass performance.

“It wasn’t my day but I came to fight,” Tuivasa said after the fight.
