UFC results: Jared Cannonier wins with record-breaking performance

Jared Cannonier landed the most significant strikes in the history of the middleweight history as he defeated Marvin Vettori in a five-round battle that headlined Saturday’s UFC event at the Apex in Las Vegas.

Cannonier officially landed no fewer than 249 significant strikes, breaking the previous record of 186 strikes, and stood as the winner with 49-45, 49-45, and 48-46 on the scorecards.

The ”Killa Gorilla” is 4-1 over his last five octagon appearances.

In the lightweight co-main event, No. 8 ranked Arman Tsarukyan defeated Joaquim Silva via a third-round TKO.

50 000 post-fight bonuses

The Fight of the Night bonus went to Jared Cannonier vs. Marvin Vettori while the Performance of the Night bonuses went to Manuel Torres and Alessandro Costa.
