UFC Vegas 87 took place at the Apex in Las Vegas. The card was headlined by a five round heavyweight bout where the knockout artist Jairzinho Rozenstruik took on the undefeated Shamil Gaziev, who made his second appearance in the promotion.

After four one-sided rounds, where Rozenstruik used his jab to prove he was the better fighter, referee Mark Goddard stopped the fight and declared the veteran winner by TKO.

Bernando Sopai gave it all

The prelims featured Swedish-Albanian bantamweight Bernando Sopai who made his UFC debut on just five days notice.

Sopai gave it all in the first half of the fight and was close to get it done, however, his opponent Vinicius Oliveira came back strong and was able to land a devastating flying knee that stopped the fight in the third round.
