Fan favourite Kevin Holland will be back in the octagon soon. In a recent Instagram post, ”Trailblazer” announced that he will face the tough Daniel Rodriguez at UFC 279 in Las Vegas.
”I will be fighting September 10. D Rod,” Holland said on Instagram.
Since making the move down to welterweight last year, 29-year-old Holland rides a two-fight winning streak, with Performance of the night bonuses in both bouts. In March, he defeated Alex “Cowboy” Oliveira via a second-round TKO, and in his last fight he defeated Tim “The Dirty Bird” Means via a second-round submission.
In 2021, Holland suffered two tough unanimous decision losses against wrestling-heavy Derek Brunson and Marvin Vettori, and one no-contest against Kyle Daukaus in the middleweight division.
All in all, Holland has fought 15 times in the UFC since his promotional debut back in August 2018. He has a professional record of 23-7-1.
