YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul and former UFC champion Anderson Silva faced off for the first time in advance of their boxing bout on October 29 in Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizonza.

At the press conference, the 47-year-old former UFC middleweight champion talked about his feelings going into the fight with the much younger, but less experienced Paul.

“I came here to do my best. I’m training hard every day, and fighters fight,” Silda said. “You have two fighters inside the ring. Two fighters have 50 percent to win. I have 50 percent and Jake has 50 percent. It doesn’t matter if people say, ‘Oh, it’s not a real fighter or not.’ But when you go inside the ring, you don’t go to stop, you go to kill, you go to die. That’s that’s the point.”

Jake Paul vows to knock Anderson Silva out respectfully

Paul was unusually calm and polite at the press conference.

“Anderson Silva is the nicest guy in the world and we love him,” Paul told the press. “If my opponent is a dickhead, I’m going to treat him like a dickhead and beat his fucking ass. I think people have seen that side of me. But I respect this man, I’m still going to knock him out, but I respectfully knock him out.”

“Maybe not, maybe not,” Silva replied with a laugh.
