ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong recently went live on Facebook for an hour-long fan Q&A session.

During the session he gave an update on ONE MMA champion Angela Lee, who tragically lost her younger sister Victoria Lee on December 26, 2022.

“Angela Lee is likely not coming back due to the loss of her sister,” Sityodtong said. “Christian Lee told me that he wants to come back. Stamp [Fairtex] and Seo Hee Ham will fight in August for the ONE Atomweight championship,” Sityodtong said. (Translated to English by Beyond Kick.)

Later talking to South China Morning Post, the ONE Championship CEO added following.

“Angela is still undecided on her return, but could likely retire. Stamp versus Ham is interim,” Chatri said.

Angela Lee is the youngest fighter to ever hold a world title in a major MMA promotion, winning the ONE atomweight belt at 18.

In her last fight, back in October 2022, she challenged strawweight champion Xiong Jing Nan with the intention to become a ONE double champ. Lee ultimately lost the bout via a unanimous decision.

The young prospect Victoria Lee won three fights in her short pro MMA career, most recently in September 2021 against Victoria Souza.
