MMA promotion PFL just contracted 24-year-old Biaggio Ali Walsh to compete in its tournament finals event in November. Ali Walsh is the grandson of the greatest heavyweight boxer, and biggest sports star, of all time – Muhammad Ali.
“I want to thank Professional Fighters League for their support and confidence in me,” Ali Walsh said about signing with the promotion.
“I have a legacy to live up to, a legacy that my grandfather began, that my brother and I continue. I chose to continue that legacy here in the Professional Fighters League. My one and only goal is to one day become a PFL World Champion.”

Biaggio Ali Walsh is a former football player
Biaggio Ali Walsh is a former college football player, and has an amateur MMA record of 1-1. According to the Professional Fighters League, the 24-year-old is looking to turn pro next year.
His 22-year-old brother, Nico Ali Walsh, is an undefeated professional middleweight boxer with a record of 6-0, with five wins coming by way of knockout.
“My grandfather had a huge impact on my entire life. As a little kid, I would go to restaurants and movies with him, everybody would stop what they were doing and start clapping. As I started to get older, I started to figure out who he is and what he did and the impact he had on the world. As far as who he is as a person, his confidence, mental toughness, man, it’s just always inspired me,” Ali Walsh told ESPN.
