Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk clashed in the first heavyweight boxer to be an undisputed champion in the four belt era.
The fight was close, with both boxers performing at their absolute best. In round 9, Usyk landed a bunch of clean shots that made Fury stumbling around the ring. The Ukranian continued to swarm with big shots until the referee stepped in and gave Fury the count.
Usyk eventually defeated Fury by split decision with 115-112, 114-113 and 114-113 on the scorecards.
“I feel good. A lot of people prayed for me, I love you. I’m very happy,” Usyk said after the fight. “My people will be very happy I think, it’s a big win, not only for me, it’s a big win for my country, for soldiers who now defend my country.”
