Recently visiting The MMA Hour, Jorge Masvidal revealed that put together one crazy card for his next boxing event Gamebred Boxing 4.
In the main event, former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis is set to take on Roy Jones Jr. who’s one of the biggest names in the last decades of boxing.
54-year-old Jones Jr. competed as a boxer from 1989 to 2018, and held multiple titles in four different weight classes, including middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight world championships, while 36-year-old Pettis never competed in professional boxing before.
The fight is scheduled to be an eight-round boxing match.
“I’ve always been a fan of Roy Jones. Always wanted to work with Roy Jones in some capacity,” Masvidal said.
Jose Aldo takes on Jeremy Stephens
The event also features another crazy matchup where former UFC champion Jose Aldo will take on heavy-hitting PFL fighter Jeremy Stephens in a boxing fight.
MMA veterans Vitor Belfort and Ronaldo Souza are also set to clash at Gamebred Boxing 4. The pair fought at UFC 198 in a fight that Souza won via stoppage.
