Nurmagomedov wins in UFC return

Abubakar Nurmagomedov returned to the Octagon during this afternoons UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi. Khabib’s cousin faced off against Gadzhi Omargadzhiev, winning the fight via unanimous decision after three hard-fought rounds.

The judges scored the contest 29-28, 29-28 and 30-27 in favor of the Dagestani welterweight.

Abubakar Nurmagomedov has now won two straight fights in the UFC after losing his promotional debut against David Zawada in November, 2019.

”The Eagle’s” cousin won his last outing versus England’s Jared Gooden in March last year, and hadn’t fought since.

Gadzhi Omargadzhiev falls to 0-2 in the UFC since joining the promotion via Dana White’s Contender Series last year.
