Swedish MMA promotion Allstars Fight Night are going to have an eight-man featherweight tournament on March 9. That’s according to a new announcement from the promotion’s representative Mohammad Babadivand.
“We will provide the winner with three contracts. Pro, with AFN,” Babadivand said.
Gymgrossisten will provide the featherweight tournament winner with a one year contract for supplements, dietary and supplements training with their expert and a total amount of 10.000 SEK after winning his first pro fight with AFN.
“There are a lot of featherweights in Sweden. Everyone talks about being the best. Now they can prove it,” Babadivand said.
Over time, Allstars Fight Night intends to do tournaments in more divisions.
“We will do almost every weight class. This is just the start,” Babadivand said. “We are here to raise Swedish MMA to a new level.”
AFN held their first fight card in July 2023 and so far put on four events.
On AFN 4, which took place on December 30, three inaugural titles were on the line. Rising star Liam Pitts won the amateur bantamweight title, the exciting Sakhi “Machete” Qambari won the pro featherweight title and former Fight Club Rush champion Bernardo Sopai won the pro bantamweight title.
