Agy Sardari exclusive: The Wolverine reveals how to overthrow the OKTAGON champ!

European MMA lightweight Agy Sardari had quite a year competing in OKTAGON MMA’s lightweight tournament.

From his thrilling debut against Losene Keita to his dominant stoppage of Ognjen Dimic, “The Wolverine” has shown the crowd that he’s one of the absolute best 155ers in Europe.

”It was a great year, we got into the tournament, I made a new start and it was amazing,” Sardari tells Frontkick in an exclusive interview. ”The organisation, the people, the fans. High level opponents. Three-four fights a year. Exactly what I wanted.”

Winning two of his three fights in 2024, Sardari really found a new home in Europe’s leading promotion. Looking ahead to 2025, he’s already set his sights on a ambitious goal.

Agy Sardari wants to outpace Losene Keita

In order to conquer the OKTAGON throne, Sardari needs to defeat newly crowned lightweight champion Losene ”Black Panther” Keita, who won the tournament final against Ronald Paradeiser. Sardari and Keita clashed in May in a tough fight that the latter eventually won via unanimous decision.

”The first time, everything was new for me. New organisation, the staff, the arena. Also the world hypes Keita really up, so that also played a role mentally, I was a bit tentative and I had to see for my self. After the second part of the second round I got a bit looser and as you could see, I started to play my own game.”

What will you do to beat him next time?

”Same thing as I did the third round, but now I will push the pace a bit more even. Especially when we fight for five rounds. His conditioning is not ready for that.”
