Norway’s Cecilie Bolander just faced UFC veteran Lucie Pudilova is her OKTAGON MMA debut. The Norwegian rising star entered the cage with a flawless 3-0 record while the experienced Pudilova had a 14-10 record.
Pudilova started off strong as she used her reach and strong jab in the early minutes of the round. Bolander’s nose was bleeding heavily, but she got back with a stiff left hook that knocked down her opponent.
In the second round, the Norwegian was able to take the fight to the ground. After landing ground-and-pound, she was looking for an armbar. Pudilova eventually got up and the high paced fight continued on the feet.
The open scorecards showed that Bolander needed a finish as the third and final round started.
In the third round, the Norwegian went out with all guns blazing. She did her best to finish the fight with punches, knees and a takedown, but Pudilova was able to survive.
After the final bell, Pudilova stood as the winner split decision 29-28, 28-29 and 29-28 on the score cards.
