Baysangur Makaev gives Erik Wahrolen his first pro loss, wants title fight next

The lightweight bout between Erik Wahrolen and Baysangur Makaev was labeled the people’s main event ahead of the fight. Both fighters were on fire at the pre-fight press conference and the tension was high when they finally entered the cage.

Wahrolen started the fight with a stiff jab and good follow up punches. Makaev  was aggressive with good kicks. By the end of the competitive round, Makaev dropped his opponent with a clean and hard leg kick and ended on top.

After one minute into the second round, Makaev landed a huge body kick and finished his opponent with furious ground-and-pound.

Baysangur Makaev is now 4-1

With the win, Baysangur Makaev moved on to 4-1 with four straight wins.

”All the fights I take my opponents down. Next time I can do it in the first round,” Makaev said in the post-fight interview. ”I feel very good, I want to stand up like Guram and fight on the ground like Khamzat.”

The young prospect wants to fight for FCR a title next.

”I need a title shot! I want to fight for a title, 66 kilo or lightweight. I want to take it to Allstars.”
