Christopher Bajo to face Danish world champion in title bout!

Swedish martial arts star Christopher Bajo is back, gearing up for another fight and will face Danish world champion Frederik Winter!

The bout will go down at Unite Championship 2 in Denmark on May fourth and was first reporter by our sister site Maximum Sports. The fight will be for the title at -81 kilograms.

Bajo has been training diligently at Venum Training Center in Thailand under famed coach Chris Foster.

”I’ve been longing to fight, Bajo said via a message through his management. I’ve had a great camp with Chris and Freddy in Thailand. I just want to smash him, line up all the belts because this is just the first of many!”

Bajo was last seen in action at Muay Thai for Life 6.0, where he defeated Sixten Larsson via decision.

A top-tier Nordic derby

Winter is a grizzled veteran of the Danish Muay Thai scene. He is a multiple time Danish Champion, an ISKA European Champion and even a World Champion.

Bajo is a Swedish Muay Thai champion who has also had much success in MMA, finishing the likes of Moe Ahmadi and Abdallah Habib. In his most recent MMA bout, in September of last year, Bajo defeated Toni Lampinen via second round TKO.

Unite Championship 1 saw a Nordic battle in Muay Thai between Johannes Bakke and Swede Sam Ghoroghi. Bakke ended up winning the fight and the title in the main event.
