Wolf Fight Promotion’s own David Jacobsson both promoted and headlined last weekend’s WFP 4 in Halmstad. Talking to Frontkick’s Jonathon Michael, ”Fat Boy Slim” sums up the hectic weeks leading up to the fight.
”It was intense. I had to push in as much work as possible between the training. I trained in the mornings, tried to work before and after. Trained in the afternoons – it was a goddamn puzzle. A challenge to say the least,” Jacobsson says with a smile.
But in the end, both the event and his fight was a success.
”I won the fight, even though it wasn’t the best performance,” Jacobsson says. ”But I’m proud that I didn’t let the stress break me.”

David Jacobsson wants two more fights this year
The Swede is probably one of the few who ever promoted and fought on the same event. However, the multitasking at WFP 4 was probably a one-off thing.
”My coach Paul said ’David, we won’t do this again’. My blood pressure was a lot higher than usual, like three weeks ahead of the event. I had one good night’s sleep, from Friday to Saturday before the fight. I had a dream that the event was already over, then I was relaxed. Then I woke up and the event and fight was still ahead of me,” Jacobsson says with a laugh.
Even with a fifth Wolf Fight Promotion event coming up in Kalmar on December 10, ”Fat Boy Slim” aims to fight two more times before the end of the year.
”It will probably be one, but I would like to fight one boxing bout as well as an MMA fight. I need more experience,” Jacobsson says. ”I can fight everywhere.”
