MMA fighter of the week: Cage Warriors champ Kennedy Freeman is the next Brit in the UFC

Unbeaten with six with four KOs, Kennedy Freeman captured the Cage Warriors bantamweight title just last month.
Following a stellar amateur career, the 26-year-old Brit made her pro debut in 2018 but after back-to-back wins she stepped away from the cage for five years. When she returned in November 2023, this time in Cage Warriors, she racked up two stoppage wins to get a shot at the vacant title against Mafalda Carmona. Kennedy claimed the title with a flawless performance that left her opponent unable to continue between rounds.
A couple of days ago, the power-punching 26-year-old announced that she’s inked a contract with the UFC and is now ready to make waves in the biggest MMA promotion in the world.
The future is certainly looking bright for Kennedy Freeman!
