This past Saturday’s Fight Club Rush 20 delivered a lot of entertaining action that left no MMA fans disappointed.

With a flyweight title fight, crazy knockouts and the homecoming of Tobias Harila, the jubilee event really had it all!

Check out Frontkick’s Tobias Lindkvist’s five biggest takeaways from Fight Club Rush 20!

Millie Eriksson’s pro debut

The crowd was going wild when local fighter Millie Eriksson stepped into the cage to make her professional debut – and damn, she lived up to the expectations!

The former IMMAF gold medalist put on a striking clinic against the seasoned Maiju Suotama, who had 15 fights against the likes of Miesha Tate and Lucie Pudilova on her resume.

Eriksson’s boxing was the most impressive part of her game. She established her distance from the start, landed her sharp jab at will, and by the end of the fight, Suotama’s face was left a bloody mess.

It’s refreshing to see an up-and-coming fighter looking so strategic and calm in her pro debut, using the jab in such an intelligent way. Very impressive!

It will be interesting to see Eriksson continue with her pro career.

Rohulla Yousofi made a promise

Rohullah Yousofi packs a punch!

The former multiple time Afghan boxing champion was arguably down two rounds, but came back with a vengeance in the last round to knock out title holder Jonny Touma in the flyweight title fight.

Back in Afghanistan, he made a promise to his dad back in to one day become a champion in Sweden. Now it’s Yousofi’s time to shine.

”I said to my dad, I will be a champion one day,” Yousofi said post-fight. ”I did it. I have my belt. I am a champ now. But I don’t have my dad. He’s gone for three years. But I know he’s in paradise and watching me. He’s so proud of me, I know that.”

The bonuses

The 50.000 SEK bonuses added more extra excitement to an already crazy bunch of fights. When the dust settled, following athletes cashed an extra couple of thousand SEK on top of their purses:

  • Fight of the Night: Tobias Harila vs.  Levan Kirtadze – 30.000 SEK
  • Finish of the Night: Rohullah Yousofi – 10.000 SEK
  • Performance of the Night: Millie Eriksson 10.000 SEK

Don’t hang up the gloves just yet Tobbe

Tobias Harila is hesitant about his future as a fighter, but the performance against Levan Kirtadze proved that ”Bad Intention” still has a lot of bad intentions left in him.

Don’t hang up the gloves just yet Tobbe, Swedish MMA needs the excitement and star quality you bring to the table!

Give Baysangur Makaev a shot for gold

Baysangur Makaev is nothing but a force of nature in the Scandinavian MMA scene.

Defeating Waltteri ”Swede Killer” Hakkinen was his best performance to date, and really cemented his claim to fight for the inaugural featherweight strap next.

Let’s put Baysangur Makaev in a big fight against Swedish MMA star Tobias Harila for the FCR featherweight title in 2024. That would blow the roof of the arena!
