Muhammad Mokaev escapes insane kneebar to win by third-round submission

Undefeated flyweight prospect Muhammad Mokaev just took on Jafel Filho in the prelims of UFC 286.

Just before the fight, the lights in the arena suddenly went out, but as soon as the round started Mokaev took control of the action with solid ground game.

In the second round, Filo had success on the feet, with good pressure and solid leg kicks. With one minute left, Mokaev took the fight to the ground but did not do any real damage.

Mokeav went straight for the take down in the third round, starting to work for a submission. However, it was Filho who almost finished the fight with a super tight knee bar.

Mokaev miraculously got out, and with 30 seconds left of the fight, he forced Filho to tap with a rear-naked-choke.

The fight was Mokaev fourth in the promotion, three of them coming via submission.

”I wanted to put on a massive performance for English fans and around the world ,” he said in the post-fight interview.

The 22-year-old is still undefeated as a pro with a record of 10-0-1.
