Rising star Jack Shore submits Makwan ”Mr. Finland” Amirkhani

Featherweight Jack Shore just took on Makwan ”Mr. Finland” Amirkhani in the final bout of the UFC 286 prelims.
Both fighters traded knees in the clinch from the start. Halfway through the first round, Amirkhani took the fight to the ground where he controlled his opponent until the bell rang.
In the second round, Shore stepped on the gas pedal and caught his opponent with two solid head kicks. Amirkhani looked tired while Shore landed more solid striking before taking the fight to the ground.
With thirty seconds left, the Welshman forced ”Mr. Finland” to tap via a rear-naked-choke.

Jack Shore moves to 17-1
The fight was Shore’s first in the stacked featherweight UFC division after moving up from bantamweight. The prospect showed proof of excellent cardio in his new weight class.
”It was the exact reason why I moved up,” Shore said in the post-fight interview.
With the win, Jack Shore moves to 17-1, 6-1 in the UFC. Amirkhani is now 1-5 in his last six fights in the promotion.
