Light heavyweight Jiri Prochazka and former champion Glover Teixeira have verbally agreed to fight for a second time at UFC 282 on December 10. The title bout was first reported by MMA Fighting. UFC 282 event doesn’t have an official location yet but could take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The two headlined UFC 275 in June, where they clashed in a potential Fight of the Year-candidate. After five tough rounds Prochazka was able to secure the victory via a rear-naked choke with less than 30 seconds left of the fight.

Even though Jiri Prochazka won the light heavyweight belt at UFC 275, he was critical to his own performance in the title fight. The Brazilian veteran was close to finishing the Czech on several occasions during their first encounter.

“I want to fight Glover in my next fight,” Prochazka recently said on social media. “Not because it will be another big fight, but just one reason: My performance was bad the first fight and I will show you why I’m the champion clearly, decisively. And I think Glover deserves it. So here’s the offer. I will show you why I am the champion.”

Prochazka has a record of 29-3 and undefeated in the UFC. Even though he is the promotion’s light heavyweight champion, he only fought three times in the organization.
