There is more than cash on the line for Swedish MMA fighter Alexander Lööf at the PrizeFighter tournament.
A win would also most likely give him a shot for the Cage Warriors bantamweight title later this year.
”I would like to defend the belt against Lööf,” bantamweight champion Liam Gitts told Frontkick Thursday. ”It would be a crazy fight. A good fight. I think I will finish him too. I’m not overlooking him, he’s a good fighter, but I will finish him. I will finish him with pure pressure. He would probably be the most fun to fight of the PrizeFighters.”
Alexander Lööf: He will realize it’s a bad plan
Talking to Frontkick, the Swedish prospect gives a harsh response to the reigning bantamweight champion.
”I couldn’t give a fuck a bout Liam right now,” Lööf says. ”If I win the PrizeFighter tournament he will realize that ’shit, this was not a good plan.’ He has no idea what he will get.”
The Swede will face Aidan Stephen in the PrizeFighter tournament. The Scottish fighter has a lot of experience and fought nine of his 14 pro fights in Cage Warriors. Stephen lost to Lööf’s teammate Tobias Harila back in 2021, so defeating the Swede would surely feel good.
