Mike Tyson sued for alleged rape in 1990s

The 56-year-old Mike Tyson has been sued by a woman who alleges that he raped her in the early 1990s. That’s according to a recent report by Sports Illustrated.
The woman filed the suit under New York’s Adult Survivors Act and seeks $5 million in damages according to a lawsuit filed in the state earlier in January.

Mike Tyson was sentenced to six years in prison in 1992
The former heavyweight champion was previously convicted of rape on February 10, 1992.
He was sentenced to six years in jail, as well as four years probation, and was released on parole, in March 1995, after three years.
After being paroled from prison, Tyson made a comeback to boxing and regained the WBC title against Frank Bruno in March 1996.
