With a 7-0 record and WMC European title, red-hot Swedish Muay Thai fighter Nicholas Bryant is one of the most promising Muay Thai fighters in Scandinavia right now.
On December 10, he will put his undefeated professional record on the line when he faces the dangerous ONE Championship contender Jacob Smith at MTFL 4.0.
Visiting Sweden’s leading fighting podcast Käftsmällspodden, the Swede opened up on the potential career-changing fight.
”This is exactly the kind of fight that we have been working for,” Bryant said. ”I faced guys like him in the World Cup, so that’s nothing new, it’s just the fact that he has a contract with ONE. That makes people talk and you get cred that other fighters don’t have.” (Translated from Swedish by Frontkick)
After the massive performance against Denmark’s Johannes Bakke at MTFL 3.0, the Swedish standout had to look outside Scandinavia to get opponents of the right caliber.
”It’s great to face an internationally known fighter,” Bryant said. ”I can’t think of a better opponent right now.”

If Nicholas Bryant defeats the tough Jacob Smith – who’s ranked No. 1 in the UK and already fought Muay Thai legend Rodtang – he will most definitely be on ONE Championship’s radar.
”That’s the goal,” Bryant said. ”These are the kind of fights you have to take to get to ONE. You have to face fighters who’s already in ONE. You have to show that you can stand up against their guys. This is perfect, this is exactly what we want, this is the kind of fight I need to take to get where I want.”
Muay Thai For Life 4.0 takes place at Baltiska Hallen in Malmö, Sweden. Tickets are available through muaythaiforlife.se and the main card will be airing globally on DAZN.
