Undefeated Ian Garry matched up with Top 10 ranked fighter at UFC 292

Undefeated rising star Ian Machado Garry will take on No. 8 ranked Geoff Neal at UFC 292 in August.

That’s according to MMA Orbit who first reported the news of the matchup.

25-year-old Garry is one of the most promising prospects in the UFC with five straight wins since his promotional debut in November 2021. In his most recent outing he defeated the tough Daniel Rodriguez with a huge first-round TKO.

Geoff Neal comes from a tough loss against another undefeated rising star in Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 285.

Announced bouts for UFC 292 with Ian Garry

UFC 292 will take place at TD Garden in Boston on August 19. The card will be headlined by a bantamweight title fight between reigning champion Aljamain Sterling and challenger ”Sugar” Sean O’Malley.

In the co-main event we will see two-time strawweight champion Zhang Weili defend her strap against Brazilian challenger Amanda Lemos.
