Diego Lopes is getting another shot to crack into the featherweight top 15 as he will take on No. 12 ranked Sodiq Yusuff on the prelims of UFC 300. UFC announced the news on Wednesday.
Making his debut in 2023, Lopes has so far a 2-1 promotional record with back-to-back first-round finishes. In his short-notice debut he gave the undefeated Movsar Evloev a run for the money in a competitive fight that went the distance.
Yusuff has been in the promotion since 2018. In his only fight in 2023 he lost a unanimous decision to Edson Barboza, at UFC Vegas 81.
