The Swedish “Knockout Prince” Sahil Siraj will face rising British star Akonne Wanliss in the OKTAGON MMA 1 million euro lightweight championship league on March 2. The matchup was just announced by the promotion.
The Swede is a high-level stand-up fighter with numbers of fights in K1 and Muay Thai (58-3) and has stopped eight of his 11 pro MMA opponents in the first round. In his last fight he knocked out Ahmed Abdulkadirov at KSW 87.
Bellator veteran Wanliss’ all seven wins have come by stoppage, four via KO and three via submissions. In his last five fights he is 3-1-1.
With fights in promotion’s like Cage Warriors, Bulldog Fight Night, Fight Club Rush and KSW, the 34-year-old Sahil Siraj goes into the OKTAGON’s 1 million Euro MMA tournament with great confidence.
“My dream is to become a Champion one day and be a good role model for young kids as a fighter,” Siraj recently told Frontkick.
Yesterday it was announced that the Finnish UFC veteran Makwan “Mr. Finland” Amirkhani will take on 24-year-old rising star Mochamed “The Beast” Machaev the tournament.
The OKTAGON MMA lightweight tournament will start March 2 and features fighters like Ronald Paradeiser and Losene Keita.
