Samuel Bark continues to climb the ranks, and less than two weeks after his dramatic comeback victory against Mate Sanikidze, the Swede is already looking ahead to his next challenge.

Earlier this month, Samuel Bark defeated former champion Mate Sanikidze in his long-awaited return to OKTAGON.

After two grappling heavy rounds, Bark secured a rear naked choke with only 29 seconds remaining on the clock, securing his fifth consecutive victory and second inside the OKTAGON cage.

The victory cemented his place as one of the most exciting featherweights on the European MMA scene, ”Sammon Decker” already hoping for another bout in November and promises to treat the fans with a brutal knockout.

Even though he took home the win against Sanikidze, ”Sammon Decker” sees room for improvement and he says he is thirsty for war.

”My performance was alright, but it was definitely nice to fight again and get some action,” Samuel Bark told Frontkick.

Despite fighting three tough rounds, he is already in talks about his next bout. According to Bark, a quick return to the OKTAGON cage may be on the cards, sooner rather than later.

– I’ve talked to my manager Majdi, and it might be at the end of November or in December, and the next win is guaranteed to be a crazy knockout!

Samuel Bark climbs to fifth place in the OKTAGON rankings

OKTAGON has grown to become one of Europe’s premier MMA organizations and has recently attracted several Swedish fighters to its events.

Liam Pitts made a stellar debut at the same event as Bark, submitting his opponent in the first round.

Bark, who previously made a name for himself on the Muay Thai circuit, says he wants to stay as active as possible, fighting at the same relentless pace that once defined his Thai boxing career.

He is now ranked fifth in the featherweight division, which currently has no champion after Losene Keita’s move to the UFC. However, OKTAGON recently announced that Niko Samsonidse and Mochamed Machaev will fight for the vacant title on January 31.

With only Max Holzer and Khalid Taha ranked ahead of him besides the title contenders, the path toward a potential championship opportunity is becoming increasingly clear for “Sammon Decker” Bark.

– OKTAGON has events all the time, and I want to fight as brutally as I did in Thailand. If OKTAGON can give me a bout a month for a full year, I won’t care about the UFC anymore, he says with a smile.
