Swedish heavyweight Ilif Latifi just clashed with veteran Alexey Oleinik at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

The first round started with a measured approach from both fighters. Latifi took the fight to the grund and landed shots from the top on his opponent.

In the second round, Oleinik pressured but got tagged with heavy shots. Latifi took the fight to the canvas, and landed good ground-and-pound. By the end of the round Oleinik had several cuts.

Latifi landed well in the third round, but Oleinik kept marching forward. ”Sledgehammer” secured another takedown by the end of the round. After the final bell, all three judges rewarded the Swede’s solid performance with 30-27 on the scorecards.

”He is a legend in this sport,” Latifi said after the fight. ”It was a hard challenge.”
