Touma vs Vidovic, Lampinen vs Stigenberg announced for FCR 17!
Publicerat

Fight Club Rush (FCR) 17 awaits the fans in Uppsala, Sweden on September ninth. The main and co-main events were just announced for FCR 17 and a new champion will be crowned at flyweight as Jonny Touma will return to the promotion to face Renato Vidovic for the vacant title. Originally Amir Malekpour was supposed to face Vidovic in a rematch from their No Contest at FCR 16. However Malekpour has chosen to sign with another promotion, setting the stage for Touma vs Vidovic.
Touma now returns to FCR – where he had the 2021 Swedish Fight of the Year in his decision win over Zoran Milic. Thus far Touma, a Swedish National MMA Champion, holds a 3-1 record in FCR with an overall record of 5-2, and is the highest ranked flyweight in Northern Europe per Tapology.
Vidovic is a five time Swedish MMA champion and two time European Champion, undefeated in his five latest fights, including a dominant TKO win over veteran Binh Son Le.
A fiery co-main event is also scheduled for FCR 17 as Sweden’s Christian Stigenberg will welcome Finnish striker Toni Lampinen back to the promotion! In his last outing Stigenberg dominated Danish grappler Simon Seiler, winning via first round TKO. Lampinen is coming off of his legendary, bloody fight with Andreas Gustafsson at FCR 16. Though he lost the fight, Lampinen showed the heart of a lion, battling through chaotic moments in the fight that would have felled lesser foes.
