UFC 287 takes a big hit, loses high profile welterweight fight

UFC 287 just lost a very interesting welterweight bout as Li Jingliang is out of his fight against Michael Chiesa due to an injury. Jingliang announced the news Monday on Chinese social media platform Douyin.

As of now, it is unclear if Chiesa will remain on the card, as no new opponent is yet announced.

UFC 287 takes place on April 8 at the Miami-Dade Arena in Miami, Florida. The event is headlined by a middleweight title fight where champion Alex Pereira takes on former champ Israel Adesanya.

The card also features a high profile welterweight co-main event between former title challengers Gilbert Burns and Jorge Masvidal.
