Jim Miller to take on Bobby Green at UFC 300, could break into top 15
A lightweight matchup between record-setting veteran Jim Miller, who just fought and won at last weekend’s UFC event, and No. 14 ranked Bobby Green was also added to the UFC 300 card.
Miller was already promised a spot at the milestone event in order to become the only fighter to compete at UFC 100, UFC 200 and UFC 300. Now, it’s been officially confirmed that Green will be his opponent in a bout that could land him in the top 15 rankings should he win.
”Jim Miller, 40 years old, is the all-time leader in UFC wins at 26. He’s got the most UFC finishes in lightweight history at 16, and he’s tied for most submissions in UFC lightweight history with Charles Oliveira at 10. And now, he’s attempting to break into the top 15 in one of the nastiest divisions in the sport,” Dana White said about Miller, before introducing his opponent Green:
”He will be facing a guy who takes on anyone, anytime, anywhere, Bobby Green. Bobby hasn’t seen a scorecards in two years. His fights do not go to distance, he’s got 20 finishes and his style is in your face, moving forward, pushing the action the entire time. This fight has been scheduled three times, but this is the time that matters.”
