Zelim Zubairaev steps in to face Mika Kallio at FCR 19!

Unfortunately Swedish fan favourite Nabbe Malki has been forced out of Fight Club Rush 19 due to an injury. However, Norway’s Zelim Zubairaev has agreed to step in a replacement against Finnish prospect Mika Kallio at FCR 19 which takes place in Stockholm, February 24th.

Zubairaev trains out of Frontline Academy in the Norwegian capital of Oslo, but also trains regularly at Allstars alongside Khamzat Chimaev. Since his pro debut in 2019 he has lined up a 2-0 record with both wins coming by way of finish – most recently a first round submission win over Henrik Lie.

This is the second time that a bout between Kallio and Malki has been cancelled due to injury. Kallio is a former representative of the Finnish Amateur MMA Team and, much like his opponent, stands with a 2-0 record as a pro. After a close decision win in his debut Kallio scored a second round knockout win in his latest outing.

Current Fight Club Rush 19 lineup

Fight Club Rush 19 will take place on February 24 at Quality Hotel in Stockholm. The event is the promotion’s third in the Swedish capital.

The card features a bantamweight title fight where Tuomas Grönvall takes on Hecher Sosa for the vacant strap. We will also see fan favorites like Wasi Adeshina and Raymond Johansson.

• Featherweight bout: Wasi Adeshina vs. Luka Giorgadze
