Karl Albrektsson is ready for a new fight in Bellator – faces former CW Champion

On September 23, Swedish light heavyweight “King” Karl Albrektsson will face Irish fighter Karl Moore at Bellator 285. The bout was first reported by Kimura.se

“I’ll go there and try to knock off his head as best I can and he will try to knock off mine. I’ll knock his head off first. I’m going to go there and knock him out. Then I go home,” Albrektsson said to Kimura.

His opponent, Moore, has a professional record of 9-2 and is a former Cage Warriors champion.

Bellator 285 will be held at 3 Arena, in Dublin Ireland. In the main event, Benson Henderson will face Peter Queally. In the co-main event, former UFC middleweight contender Yoel Romero will fight Melvin Manhoef.

Karl Albrektsson holds No. 7 spot in the Bellator Light Heavyweight Rankings

28-year-old “King” Karl Albrektsson has a professional record of 13-3. After losing his Bellator debut, against Phil Davis, he has two straight wins in the organization. The Swede has also competet outside Bellator since joining them in 2019, and has two recent wins in Swedish MMA organization Superior Challenge.

Albrektsson’s last fight was against Dovletdzhan Yagshimuradov at Bellator 268, in October last year. A fight he won by unanimous decision. “King” is currently ranked No. 7 in the Bellator Light Heavyweight Rankings.
