Jake Paul will take on Hasim Rahman Jr. in New York City on August 6. Rahman Jr. replaces British boxer Tommy Fury, who’s travel issues stopped him from going to the United States.

31 year-old Rahman Jr. has a professional record of 12-1, and is the son of former world heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman. He’s coming off a TKO-loss to James McKenzie Morrison last April.

Even more interesting, he is also a former sparring partner of Paul’s.

”Bigger. Stronger. More experienced. KO power. But it doesn’t matter. They don’t have my heart, don’t have my drive & definitely don’t have my team. August 6 I’m showing the world that Jake Paul is a bad mother fucker,” Paul recently wrote on Twitter.

Amanda Serrano fights on the same card and supports her manager Jake Paul

27-year-old Paul, has a record of 5-0, with four coming by the way of knockout. In his last fight he knocked out former UFC champion Tyron Woodley.

One who believes that Paul has what it takes to defeat the much more experienced Hasim Rahman Jr. is the featherweight world champion Amanda Serrano, who also fights on the same event.

”OK! Here is my managers Jake Paul’s next opponent, for those who kept asking for a real boxer,” Serrano wrote on Twitter. ”A legit heavy weight with a great record.”

A pre-fight press conference is scheduled for July 12 in New York City.
