Last month the latest Muay Thai for Life event was announced, a charity event helt in in collaboration with The Swedish Cancer Society (Cancerfonden) in Gothenburg on October 28th. The first fighter was just officially announced as signed for the Muay Thai for Life 6.0: Swedish MMA favourite and heavyweight contender Zvonimir “The Croatian Sensation” Kralj! The event will be a welcome addition to the strong Swedish combat sports scene, as all proceeds will go to The Swedish Cancer Society. On top of that: Kralj is donating his entire fight purse to charity!
Sporting a 7-5 MMA record with all wins via finish, Kralj is also experienced outside of the cage, winning the Swedish championships in boxing.
“The Croatian Sensation” returns after a long layoff, not having fought since a TKO loss to current PFL prospect Jakob Nedoh In Brave CF. However between November of 2017 and the summer of 2020 Kralj lined six straight wins via finish, including a TKO over Turkish veteran Fatih Aktas.
“It feels great (to return), Kralj told Frontkick.onlines sister site Maximum Sports. I love martial arts. I love challenges. It’s been a tough times since my last fight. I’ve wanted to fight for a long time but life has come in the way and then you have to accept the situation.
Stepping from the MMA cage to the Muay Thai ring doesn’t faze Kralj, who looks forward to the charity aspect of the event.
“There’s nothing special about doing Muay Thau or the debut in itself. What i like about this MTFL event is the collaboration with Cancerfonden where money is being donated. So it’ll be nice to fight and have it be for a good cause.”
Thus far Kralj has always left everything inside the cage and he promises the same kind of entertainment the fans have become accustomed to.
Fans can expect a great show with many exciting fights and what I expect from the fans is that they come and support us on site.”
With vicious leg kicks, a wide skill set and a personality that is both endearing and hilarious, Kraljs bout at MTFL 6.0 will surely be a must-see battle.
