Battle of Botnia 8 adds a highly interesting fight to the fight card as Swedish strawweight prospect Nina Back returns for her second pro outing.

Back will take on British fighter Indy “The Fire” Briar in a three-round strawweight bout. Briar is known to the Swedish MMA crowd for her amateur win at Superior Challenge 25 this past December.

The Swede lost her pro debut against Josefine Modig at FCR 17 in September, and is looking for her first win as a professional MMA fighter. As an amateur in the National Team, she no fewer than five IMMAF silver medals.

Battle of Botnia 8 fight card with Nina Back

Battle of Botnia 8 will take place on December 9 at Thorén Arena in Umeå and features a welterweight title bout where the promotion’s reigning champion Andreas “Real Steel” Ståhl takes on Max Denner in his first title defense.

The Umeå crowd will also see their home town hero Fernando Flores take one Aridane Romero Rodriguez in a featherweight co-main event.

The card also features interesting amateur fights where top dogs Astrid Vikgren and Emma Schiöler will clash with tough opponents.
