A closer look at Lina Länsberg ahead of her 10th UFC fight!

In just four days, Swedish UFC fighter Lina Länsberg returns for her tenth fight in the octagon, as she’s set to clash with No. 9 ranked Karol Rosa on the prelims of UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi.

Known for her great striking, “The Elbow Queen” fought some of the toughest opponents possible in the promotion’s bantamweight division, and is currently ranked No. 12 in the world.

UFC debut against the legendary Cris Cyborg

Back in 2016, Lina Länsberg made her promotional debut with a big bang, as she faced the hard-hitting MMA legend Cris Cyborg in a catchweight main event on the latters hometurf in Brazil.

Over the next four years ,”The Elbow Queen” squared off against fighters like Tonya Evinger, Yana Kunitskaya and Macy Chiasson, until she stepped away from competition for almost two years, due to giving birth.

However, Länsberg made her comeback in April, as she faced fellow Swede Pannie Kianzad in a violent and entertaining rematch in Las Vegas. Now, it’s time for her second fight in 2022, on the most stacked UFC card of the year.

Lina Länsberg is a decorated Muay Thai fighter

Before turning to MMA, Länsberg had a successful Muay Thai career with a record of 37-11. A record that includes victories on the biggest stages of the world, as well as a fight against the now dominant UFC flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko.

Between 2007 and 2012, Länsberg won two gold medals, two silver medals and one bronze medal at the IFMA World Championship. She also won the IFMA-EMF European Muay Thai Championships in 2013, and secured a bronze medal the year before.

On the Scandinavian stage, Länsberg is a three-time Swedish Muay Thai champion, and won both the Nordic Championship and WMC Scandinavian Professional Muay Thai title.
