Swedish bantamweight Pannie Kianzad (16-6 MMA, 5-3 UFC) will make her UFC comeback on July 22.
Kianzad is set to face No. 4 ranked Ketlen Vieira (13-3 MMA, 7-3 UFC) at the The O2 Arena, London, England.
Frontkick.online and Maximum Sports‘ journalist Sebastian Vendel-Martinez was first to report the news of the matchup, and confirmed it with sources close to the situation.
Pannie Kianzad made her UFC debut on July 6, 2019, and so far fought seven times in the promotion, pulling together a record of 5-3. Her biggest wins came against former UFC title challengers Alexis Davis and Bethe Correia.
In her last fight, in April 2022, Kianzad defeated fellow Swedish bantamweight Lina Länsberg in a bloody and entertaining three-round battle.
Before joining the UFC, Pannie Kianzad competed in organizations like Superior Challenge, Invicta FC 29 and Cage Warriors.
Ketlen Vieira comes from a split decision loss to Raquel Pennington on January 14. Before the loss she had back-to-back wins against former champions Miesha Tate and Holly Holm.
The Brazilian made her promotional debut back in October 2016 and pulled together four straight wins before getting stopped by Irene Aldana at UFC 245 on December 14, 2019.
With the addition of Kianzad vs. Vieira, the UFC Fight Night 227 in London lineup includes:
Women’s flyweight bout: Molly McCann vs. Julija Stoliarenko
