Conor McGregor awarded Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt: “20 years of hard work!”

UFC superstar Conor McGregor is known for his lethal knockout power and extraordinary timing.
Now, the Irish fighter is also a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, as his longtime coach, John Kavanagh of SBG Ireland awarded him with the black belt on Monday.
“Received my black belt tonight from my coach, friend, and mentor, (coach Kavanagh) of ( SBG Ireland) 20 years of hard work! Thank you John for everything over the years, and to all of my team mates throughout this incredible jiu jitsu journey! Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart! A Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt, wow! Praise be to God and then Helio. I’ll be in the Gi in it tomorrow Helio, I promise, and I cannot wait!! What a buzz,” McGregor wrote on Instagram.

Conor McGregor has not fought in two years
The UFC superstar has been out of action for more than two years after suffering a broken leg in his fight against Dustin Poirier back in July 2021.
McGregor was expected to return to action this year, to face former Bellator champion Michael Chandler, but so far the fight has not materialized.
The former two division champion Conor McGregor has fought in the UFC just four times in the past six years, and only won one of the fights.
